23/4 Day 3

Last night’s roadside camp was surprisingly comfortable. A launch onto a flat sea, followed by a fairly steady paddle to arrive st Strangford Lough before the main flow. It had turned slightly earlier than expected but we managed across ok. That was then followed by a crossing of Dundrum Bay, on what turned out to be a much better day than forecast. Bit of a hunt to find somewhere to camp, but ended up on a storm beach a few miles north of Annalong.

  1. Thanks for the extra photos – 2 on one blog! Any local interest in your challenge yet? Does anyone come and say hello?

    1. Say hello!? We almost get taken in and adopted. We’ll probably be off the water for two days now as the weather has turned. Our boats are safely stored in the RNLI shed next to the lifeboat and we’re camping in the coxswain’s garden.
